Success Tip # 3 – is make a Vision Board and set some goals on it!
A lot of people make pretty little vision boards and they love to put them up. I know it’s a big thing for the beginning of the year, but what about every quarter? Are you truly making a new vision board for every quarter, and is it goal-setting? Is it actually written down? Are your goals on that vision board?
I truly believe that writing down and sharing something helps you stick by it. There’s research that actually proves me right. A Stanford University study found that when people wrote down their goals, it increased the probability of them achieving it by 70%! 70% guys that’s a big number! So you have a better chance of hitting your goal, if you just write it down.
So let’s dig in as I go through step 3 of the six steps for a successful quarter.
6 Steps to Successful Strategies for Each Quarter: Episode 10 – Step 3
My name is Blair Critch and I help success driven women keep their overachiever status while reducing stress, increasing energy, without sacrificing time with their family.
I challenge you to not just write down those goals, but write them down and put them on your vision board. I love the book ‘Think and Grow Rich‘ by Napoleon Hill, in it he talks about making your goal clear, but also including dates, and what you’re willing to give up in order to achieve that goal.
Fill out this sentence:
I am happy and grateful that I am _____________________________________by _________________and I am willing to give up _______________________________________to achieve this by____________________.
Here’s an example of my goal:
I am happy and grateful that I own a new investment property in Park City Utah by July 2018 and I’m willing to give up reality TV, watching TV, and shopping when I don’t need to, to achieve this by July 2018.
I actually even added a few other things that I am willing to give up, such as; not so many girls nights. For me it’s also about making sure that I am sticking to my IPA income producing activities. Because I can easily get sucked up on social media, or checking my emails, or things that are honestly not income producing for me.
That was success tip number three!
I hope that it helped you out a little bit.
