Have you ever thought about why you see some people hitting their goals, mastering the vision board that they put in place for the year? Mastering and hitting their goals, time after time? Or having the success that you want? I have definitely found that I notice those things in certain people, and I noticed in myself for a lot of years that I wasn’t hitting my goals, and getting exactly what I wanted out of my quarters and years.
I’m going to share with you exactly that – the six steps for success each quarter, in your personal and my business life. I think that success comes in lots of different packages, and lots of different ways. We’re going to dissect that today, it’s not just about your financial success, or your business success, it’s also about life balance success. Making sure you are having success in your marriage, if you are married. Making sure you are having success as a parent. Making sure you are having success in your business and career…and financially. Because all of those things are important.
And what about your spiritual life? Is that important to you as well? That’s another place that you need to make sure that you are setting clear goals, and you’re hitting those goals as well.
Today we are going to talk exactly about that…
So let’s dig in as I go through step 1 of the six steps for a successful quarter. That’s really a tongue twister – try saying that six times… Steps For A Successful Quarter!
You may be wondering why I said quarter. Here’s how I truly believe that you can have the most success in your year…break it up in chunks.
6 Steps to Successful Strategies for Each Quarter: Episode 8 – Step 1
My name is Blair Critch and I help success driven women keep their overachiever status while reducing stress, increasing energy, without sacrificing time with their family.
Step 1. Why: I know you have heard this before, but what is your WHY? The reason you work your business or take care of your health, or make any resolution or goal?
Now get specific. If it is not worthy of jumping out of bed and pushing yourself for, you just wont do it. You will find an excuse. So the reason must be deeper then wanting to have money, wanting to move up in your job/business. What has God put on your heart?
Start with what you want first: The goal, the desire or resolution.
Why do you want that to happen?
How would that feel? What would happen if you achieved that? How would that change your life? Your family?
Go as deep and personal as you need. Simon Sinek, who wrote ‘Know Your Why‘, says it should make you teary eyed. I find if you can’t do that immediately, try writing in a journal for a few days, or even weeks, until you figure it out. Pray about it, and write down what God puts in your heart.
My example: This year, in 2018, my BIG goal is to get a 2nd home in Park City, Utah. Why? I love the mountains but I live in Florida by the beach. I love that we go skiing there every year, and it would be financially a good investment, since we go 2 times a year. We can rent it out and make money as a vacation home.
The real reason goes deeper: I want a place my kids want to come vacation to, a place they want to bring friends, a place they would want to go on vacations with us, where they want to be around us! I want a place that when I die my kids still want to go to, and meet up with each other, and hang out as families. I want to create a legacy of friendship, fun and exploration with them.
I want to have a place where Ryan and I can escape and be just us 2, or us 4, and not have friends/family pulling us to hang out or do things we need to do. I want to have a place where I can gift a week to a family that would NEVER be able to stay at a place like this. Never would be able to travel to a ski resort. I want to gift our pastor and his family a week in Utah. I want to gift my girlfriends a weekend, a year to hang out, and relax as friends as we get older. I want to build a team in Park city Utah, so I can stay there for a whole summer. I want to explore God’s creation and learn to be active outside and explore.
I hope this was helpful for you today. If you have anybody else that you think that this would help, please send this along to them. Please share it. I would love for you to post some comments here in my blog. I’d love to hear what you think about this, and which one you need to work on the most. Is it consistent daily action? Is it duplication? Is it growing? Or, is it not giving up? Please let me know, I would love to help you by digging a little bit deeper into any of these topics, if you want more help with it. I could definitely do a blog about it, or talk to you one-on-one, and I would love to invite you personally to join our Blessed Momma Bosses group. It’s a private group on Facebook, and we love when we have new people joining us that are power driven women who want to see change, are willing to share in our community and also get a lot out of our community.
